Shakil shares third slot in Mumbai Mayor Chess

IM Abu Sufian Shakil sharing 3rd position along with other 11 players securing 5 points after 7th round games of the 11th Mumbai Mayor’s Cup International Chess tournament now being held at Mumbai in India.
After the 7th round games GM Ziaur Rahamn earned 4.5 points, CM Chanchal Kumer Ghosh, CM Sohel Chowdhury and Md. Anisuzzaman Jewel earned 4 points each, Shahnaz Mohammad Faruque bagged 3.5 points, Jamal Uddin, Avik Sarker, Abzid Rahman and Mezanur Rahman earned 3 points each, Shahidul Islam and Sazzad Kishor earned 2.5 points each, Tipu Sultan, Arifuzzaman Arif, Protiva Talukder and Kazi ZArin Tasnim bagged 2 points each, Tahsin Tajwar Zia, Kazi Mahbub Afzal, Mohammad Hasan, Ahmed Walijah and Akmal Hossain Khan earned 1.5 points each. Sohel Rana Pritom, Wadifa Ahmed, Jodunath Biswas and Md. Firoz Kabir earned 1 point each.
In the 7th round games were held on Thursday afternoon. IM Shakil beat Parthasarathy of India, GM Zia beat CM Sohel, Jewel drew with Ojas Kulkarni of India, CM Chanchal beat Dave Sneh of India, Abzid lost to Keshav Kothari of India, Jamal lost to Arya Nirag Shah of India, Shahnaz beat Adane Narayani of India, Mezan lost to Polakhare Aryan of India, Avik beat Protiva, Tipu lost to WFM Dhyana Patel of India, Zarin lost to Hrishikesh Chavan of India, Arif lost to Bhuta Hridoy of India, Hasan lost to Walde Harshal of India, Sazzad beat Debarghya Samanta of India, Afzal lsot to Bragadeeshwaran of India, Shahid beat Bang Atharba of India, Walijah lost to Krishnan Ritvik of India, Pritom lost to Agam Aditya of India, Firoz lost to Deodhar Vrushali Umesh of India and Wadifa drew with Jodunath.
