CMCCI starts sale of essentials at fair prices

The Chattogram Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CMCCI) on Monday launched its 2nd sale centre of essential commodities at fair prices for the low-income group of people in the port city.
CMCCI President Khalilur Rahman inaugurated sale centre in city’s Oxyzen area yesterday afternoon. Khalilur Rahman, in his speech, urged all businessmen to come forward to keep the prices of daily commodities at a tolerable level.
 The subsdized rate of rice at tk.25 , sugar Tk.45 and Soyabean oil tk.85 per kg in the fair prices programs.
Sources said every consumer is allowed to purchase 5 kg rice, 2 kgs sugar and 2 kgs oil . Earlier the pioneer business body of the port city Chittagong chamber also launched such programs of essentials at subsised rate at Agrabad office premises .
