Seminar on research methodology in English

Campus Report :
A seminar titled ‘Research Methodology in English Literature and Language’ arranged by the Department of English of Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) was held at its permanent campus at Rupnagar area in the city.
Prof AKM Waliul Islam, Institute of Modern Languages (IML) of Dhaka University (DU) attended the seminar as the key speaker. Vice-Chancellor of BUBT, Prof Md. Abu Saleh was the chief guest. The seminar was presided over by Mohammad Mohsin Reza, chairman of the English Department.
Dr Islam highlighted the research on language and literature both of the streams. He discussed in detail on quantitative and qualitative research and issues of them, research subjects, data collection etc.
BUBT Vice-Chancellor mentioned in his speech that the knowledge’s from research should be used to know the world and the truth. Such type of seminar is important for research students and teachers of English Faculty, he added.
Proctor of the University, Prof Miah Lutfar Rahman; Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof Mohammad Abu Taher Majumder were present at the seminar.
In addition, teachers of other departments and a large number of students attended the seminar.
