Index Group Under-10 Rugby Competition begins tomorrow

The Index Group Under-10 Rugby Competition begins tomorrow at the Shaheed (Captain) M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium.
Bangladesh Rugby Union (BRU) will arrange the rugby competition, while Index Group is the sponsor of the meet. The budget of the tournament has been estimated at Taka two lakh and forty thousand, while Index Group has given Taka one lakh and fifty thousand to BRU and BRU will bear rest of the expenditure.
To mark the ensuing competition, a press conference was held at the conference room in the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Thursday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Rugby Union (BRU) Mousum Ali, Joint-Secretary of BRU Sayeed Ahmed, Executive Director of Index Group Brigadier General (Retd) Abu Sohel, Head of Research and Development Department of Index Group Yasir Arefin, Member Secretary of the Tournament Committee Din Islam, Member of BRU Parvin Putul were present at the conference.
A total of 11 teams dividing into four groups will take part in the tournament. Saint Gregory’s High School, Isha Kindergarten are in Group-A, Shaheed Nabi High School Sun Shine Pre-Cadet High School, Islami Adarsha High School are in Group-B, Ahmadbagh Adrasha High School, KM Bashir Government Primary School, Kamalapur Sher-e-Bangla Railway School are in Group-C, Segun Bagicha High School, Ali Ahmmad School, Rayer Bazar High School are in Group-D.
The champions of Group-A will take on the champions of Group-C in the first semi-final, while the champions of Group-B will face the champions of Group-D in the second semi-final.
The winners of the two semi-finals will face each other in the final on May 7.
