Two people, including a Jatiya Party activist, have been killed in separate incidents in Bogra and Bagerhat.
In Bogra, a JP activist was stabbed to death by miscreants at Talora village in Dupchanchia upazila on Tuesday night.
The deceased was identified as Ariful Haque Rahat, owner of Sardar Telecom in Talora Bazar and son of late Wazed Ali in the area.
Witnesses said a gang of miscreants attacked
Arif and stabbed him indiscriminately around 7:30m while he was returning home after saying Maghrib prayers at a local mosque, leaving him severely injured.
He was rushed to upazila health complex where he was declared dead by doctors.
Police arrested four people in connection with the murder.
Riazuddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Dupchanchia Police Station, confirmed the incident and said a case was filed in this connection.
In Bagerhat, police recovered the slaughtered body of an employee of a local boutique house at Daritaluk village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Jagannath Shil, 32, an employee of ‘Suruchi’ in the area and son of late Kalisharan alias Mona Shil of the village.
