Kool-BSPA Sports Awards ceremony January 6

The Kool-BSPA Sports Awards-2017, a regular event of Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA), will be handed over on Saturday (January 6) afternoon at a function at the Ballroom of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will distribute the awards among the outstanding sports personalities in 14 categories for their brilliant performances in the year of 2017.
The BSPA will also announce their “Popular Choice Award for 2017” at the function from the four short-listed candidates — cricketers Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah Riyad, and footballer Zafar Iqbal.
The popular choice award for the year will be selected through ongoing popular choice voting system of the sports fans and lovers, which started on December 16 and will conclude on Thursday (Jan 4).
Besides, BSPA will also pick their “best sportsman of the year” from a short list –cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, shooter Arnam Sharar and footballer Zafar Iqbal.
