RURF gets new executives body

A 21-member executive body for Rajshahi University Readers Forum (RURF), a career oriented and voluntary organization at RU campus were elected with Naeem Hossain of Political Science Dept as President and Rashedul Islam of Folklore Dept as General Secretary for the year of 2017-18.
Chief Election Commissioner and also former student advisor, Social Dept chairman Prof Dr Sadequl Arefin Matin declared the committee yesterday on its 27th annual meeting at the organisation office.
The other office bearers are Vice President- Alomgir Hossain (Finance dept), Samia Rahman (Philosophy), Joint Secretary Abdul Alim (Economics), Organizing Secretary Tajmul Islam (Economics), Assistant Organizing Secretary Khadiza Khatun (Graphics Design), Treasurer Mominul Islam (Islamic History and Culture- IHC), Publicity Secretary Al Amin (Arabic), Assistant Publicity Secretary Sopna Roy (Folklore), Literature and General Knowledge Affairs Secretary Motiur Rahman (IHC), Assistant Literature and General Knowledge Affairs Secretary Ashifa Asrafi Asa (Genetic Engineering), Technical Affairs Secretary Monjur Rahim (Information Science and Library Management), Assistant Technical Affairs Secretary Ahmed Ali (IHC), Publication Affairs Secretary Rifat Sultana (Language), Assistant Publication Affairs Secretary Soboj Ali (History), Office Affairs Secretary Rajesh Biswas (Psychology), Assistant Office Secretary Sowkhin Mahmud (Folklore), Study Office Secretary Mahjeban Mantasa Borno (Language) while Abul Hasem (Philosophy), Beuti Khatun (Political Science) elected as executives members respectively.
The mission and vision of this organization is to help the students of RU to acquire extra-curriculum skills along with pedantic faculty of knowledge. To meet up the psychodynamic demands of RU students, RURF was established on 4th April 1989 to discharge this institutional extension of thought by a former student of Geography Department Arif Hasnath.
