7 held with 5850 Yaba, liquor

Members of Narcotics Control Department (NCD) in separate drives arrested seven drug traders with 5850 pieces of contraband Yaba tablets and 115 liters country made liquor from different area in the city early Saturday.
The arrested were identified as Rasheda Begum, 36, Musfique,37, Abul Hashem,20, Ataullah, 18, Jashim,27, Babul, 31 and CNG driver Faruk,28.
Acting on secret information, a team of NCD arrested Resheda Begum and Mushfique with 2500 peices of Yaba tablets from north side of Shah Amanat bridge of Bakalia thana around 5 am, NCD sources said. In another drive, separate team of NCD arrested Hashem, Jashim, Babul and Ataullah with 3350 pieces of Yaba tablets from Feringi Bazar area under Kotwali thana in the city at 4 am early Saturday. Separate cases were filed against them with respective police stations, police official added.
