Chanchal emerges unbeaten champion in Blitz Chess Championship

Chanchal Kumar Ghosh emerged as unbeaten champion in the Blitz Chess Championship with 6.5 points after the 7th round game on Friday at E Commerce Club hall room in Uttara.
Five players finished in second to sixth position with 5.5 points after the tie breaking system. They are M Hasan Emam, Fide Master Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, M Yousuf, M Abu Hanif and Romanur Rahman.
In the none rated category, Mosharaf Hossain emerged champion while Azim – Us- Shaikat Ratun finished as runners-up.
Besides, Tahmidul Haq emerged champion in the U-16 category.
A total of 63 chess players took part in the meet.
E Commerce Club’s adviser Kabi Anwar Mozid was the chief guest in the closing ceremony and distributed the prizes.
