2 snatchers arrested

Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested two snatchers from Textile area under city’s Baizid thana on Tuesday night. The arrested were identified as Abdul Jalil, 48, hailed from Dighinala of Khagrachhari and Asaduzzaman alias Ershad, 35, hailed from Morolganj of Bagerhat district.
Police also recovered Tk 15,000 in cash from the snatchers. Sub-Inspector (SI) of Baizid police station Saiful Islam said, the two snatchers were rounded up in a drive at Textile area at Baizid industrial belt. The arrested in primary interrogation confessed that they were involved in snatching incidents in the city for long, police said adding that they had been wanted in several cases.
