At least 11 people died and around 40 people were injured in a bus crash Sunday night in Zabaykalsky Krai, southeastern Russia, the region’s investigation commission said Monday.
The bus with 51 passengers on board crashed into the roadbed and overturned on a highway connecting the cities of Irkutsk and Chita, the commission said in a statement.
Navalny supporters protest across Russia

Thousands of supporters of opposition politician Alexei Navalny protested across Russia Monday, with several arrested as police warned organisers against holding an unauthorised rally in Moscow.
The protest is the second mass action since March 26 called by Navalny, who has announced his intention to run for president next year and has drawn a new generation to the streets through a relentless online campaign.
India, Pakistan trade fire in Kashmir killing 2

Officials say Indian and Pakistani troops have traded fire in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir, killing two civilians and wounding three others on the Pakistani side.
A Pakistan army statement Monday says that Indian troops targeted civilians in the Jandrot and Hot Spring sectors along the military control line, killing two people and wounding three.
4 Syrians face terrorism charges in Germany

German authorities say they’ve arrested four Syrian brothers on terrorism charges for allegedly fighting for an extremist group in their homeland five years ago. Mustafa K., 41, Abdullah K., 39, Sultan K., 44, and Ahmed K., 51, whose last names weren’t released according to privacy regulations, are accused of membership in a terrorist organization for fighting for the Nusra Front in the northern Syrian city Ras al-Ayn starting in late 2012.
