Interns’ strike continues at DMCH

Medical services at Dhaka Medical College Hospital remained suspended as interns of the hospital continued their strike on Monday protesting the attack on a fellow intern that caused untold sufferings to the patients. Witnesses said the doctors brought out a procession in outdoor area of the hospital at about 10 am and staged demonstrations demanding the arrest of the attackers. The demonstrating doctors earlier formed a human chain beside the Central Shaheed Minar at 9:30 am protesting the attack. Although emergency services resumed at the DMCH in the morning, but the other services, including outpatient department, did not resume till noon.– UNB, Dhaka.
