Naeem, Shanto slam tons for North Zone on day two in BCL

Naeem Islam And Nazmul Hossain Shanto struck brilliant centuries to send North Zone to a commanding position in their first innings against Central Zone on day two of the Bangladesh Cricket League match played on Monday at Sylhet International Stadium.
Resuming at overnight 63 for 3, a brilliant 197 runs partnership for the fifth between Nazmul Hossain Shanto and Naeem Islam saw North Zone piled up 422 for 6 in their first inning.
Shanto scored an impressive knock of 123 from 142 balls laced with 18 boundaries while Naeem looked more in command to notch up a magnificent 133 off 275 balls which was studded with 19 boundaries and a six to remain unbeaten along with Dhiman Ghosh who was 64.
However in day’s remaining 21 overs, North Zone lost three crucial wickets scoring 63 when the stumps were drawn for the day.
Sharifullah and Shahadat Hossain shared two wickets each conceding 65 and 91 runs respectively.
Earlier, Sunzamul Islam grabbed five wickets to send Central Zone crashing cheaply in their first innings at 181 on the first day.
