Biswanath Upazila Sports Association emerged champions in the Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Cup Inter-Upazila Football tournament beating Gopalganj Upazila Sports Association by 4-3 goals in penalty shoot out in the keenly contested final match held on Tuesday at Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet.
The match rolled into a tie breaker after the regulation time ended in a 1-1 goal draw.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith was present as the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes.
Former representative to the United Nations in New York Dr AK Abdul Momen, DIG of police of Sylhet range Kamrul Ahasan and Sylhet Metropolitan Range Police Commissioner Golam Kibria were present as special guests.
