Lipi Halder gets Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award

A book publication ceremony and Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award giving function organised by Amor Prokashoni was held in Professor Akhtar Imam Auditorium in the city’s Segunbagicha on Thursday.
In the programme Lipi Halder was honoured with Mahatma Gandhi Peace Award for her contribution in folk literature and poetry.
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Prime Minister’s Media Adviser Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury and Vice-Chancellor of the World University Bangladesh Prof Dr Abdul Mannan Chowdhury were present, among others, on the occasion.
