Wrestling training begins in Panchagarh

The under-16 wrestling players’ selection and training from grassroots level began on Saturday last at Bir Muktijodda Sirajul Islam Stadium Gymnasium in Panchagarh.
Panchagarh District Sports Association general secretary Anwar Sadat formally inaugurated the training programme as the chief guest while national coach Ashraf Ali conducting the event, a press release said here.
Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation organised the 10-day course by the financial support of National Sports Council.
In the selection round, 20 out of 70 participants — 40 of men’s and 30 of women’s from different parts of the district– have been selected for the 10 days course which will conclude on December 5.
