Summit-DRU Media Cup Cricket: Bangla Vision emerge as champions

Bangla Vision emerged as the champions of the Summit-DRU Media Cup Cricket defeating Channel i by four wickets in the final at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Saturday.
Jobaer of Bangla Vision was adjudged the Man of the Final, while Rahul Roy of Channel i was adjudged the Man of the Tournament.
Alokito Bangladesh and Daily Star jointly finished fourth.
The champions were awarded Taka fifty thousand, while Channel i, the runners-up of the meet were given Taka thirty thousand.
The jointly fourth place achiever teams got Taka ten thousand each,
After the final match, Minister for Forest and Environment Anwar Hossain Manju distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
President of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Jamal Uddin presided over the prize-giving ceremony, while General Secretary of DRU Razu Ahmed conducted the programme.
Vice-Chairman of Summit Group Md Farid Khan, former captain of Bangladesh National Cricket team Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, Sports Secretary of DRU Mojibur Rahman, Deputy-Managing Director of Al-Arafa Islami Bank Limited Kazi Touhidul Alam, Executive Vice President of Standard Bank Limited Shakhawatur Rahman, Senior Vice President of EXIM Bank Limited Sanjib Chatterjee, Head of Public Relations & Media Shamsuddin Haider Dalim, Assistant Manager of Teletalk Musanna Habib, Assistant General Manager of Partex Group Nahid Yousuf were present at the time.
