BCL leader assaults RU teacher

A Rajshahi University (RU) Unit Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader on Monday assaulted his department’s teacher and threatened to shot dead for not giving meal without token.
The accused leader was identified as Rahajul Amin alias Ridoy, joint secretary of BCL RU unit and also an MBA student of management studies department of the university.
 Department sources said, around noon, Shamim Hossain, the victim distributed meal among the students in Boishakhi programme at the department. In the mean time Rahajul along with 10 to 12 activists went there and wanted meal but they failed to show token while the teacher asked for that.
 Then Rahajul assaulted the teacher and made abuse as he declined to give meal without token.
 “At 3:00pm, an unknown person called him over phone from 01774-069926 number and threatened to shot dead claiming that he had misbehaved with Ridoy”, said Shamim Hossain.
 On contacted, Rahajul Amin Ridoy told that he was unknown about the phone.
 Touhid Al Hossain Tuhin, BCL RU Unit General SDecretary told that if such types of incident happened, the stern action would be taken from the organization.
