Banglavision clinch DRU Media Cup Football title

Private satellite channel Banglavision clinched the title of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Media Cup Football tournament beating The Daily Star by 3-2 goals in penalty shootout in the exciting final match held on Thursday at Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city.
The match rolled into a tie breaker after the regulation time ended in a goalless draw.
The champion team received Taka 40,000 while the runners-up got Taka 20,000 as prize money.
Besides, the man of the tournament and highest scorer of the competition both received Taka 5,000 each as prize money while the losers semi-finalist ATN Bangla and Sangbad Protidin were also awarded cash prize of Taka 5,000 each.
Earlier on the day, on way to the final, Banglavision beat ATN Bangla by a solitary goal in the first semi final while Daily Star defeated Sangbad Protidin by 3-0 goals in the second semis.
