




People from all walks of lives gathered at the National Press Club on Thursday to bid farewell to veteran journalist ABM Musa. Noted politicians, senior journalists, academics, cultural activists, civil society members and ordinary people paid their last tributes to Musa by placing wreaths on his coffin. Musa’s body was taken to the Press Club in a hearse at around 12:30pm. His first namaz-e-janaza (funeral prayer) was held at the Iqbal Road Playground of Mohammadpur after the Magrib prayer on Wednesday. His second janaza was held at the Press Club after tributes were paid. The 1999 Ekushey Award recipient breathed his last at LabAid Hospital in Dhaka on Wednesday afternoon at the age of 83, drawing to a close his six-decade illustrious career in journalism. He was on life support for last several days.
