The talent under-16 wrestlers selection & training programme began at the Gymnasium of Chapainawabganj District Stadium on Thursday. Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation has arranged the programme, patronized by National Sports Council with the assistance of Chapainawabganj District Sports Association.
Vice-President of Chapainawabganj District Sports Association Abdul Hannan inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.
Joint-Secretary of Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation Md Mesbah Uddin Azad, Vice-President of Chapainawabganj District Sports Association Iqbal Monwar Khan Channa, General Secretary of the Association Md Toufiqul Islam Tofa and General Secretary of District Wrestling Committee Mahbuba Begum were present at the time.
National Coach Ashraf Ali has conducted the ten-day long programme while Coach Bablu Zaman has assisted him as Assistant Coach.
A total of 60 athletes took part in the preliminary phase. Of them, 20 selected wrestlers will be trained in the ten-day long programme.
