150 sued for explosion at Shaheed Minar Hartal observed in C’nawabganj

Some 150 persons were sued for exploding bombs at Shaheed Minar on Shibganj Upazila Parishad premises on Wednesday.
SI Sudipto Reza of Shibganj thana said, he filed the case on Wednesday evening with Shibganj police station for carrying explosives.
BNP activist Asaduzzaman Sujon was killed and three others were injured in bomb explosion near Shahid Minar on the Shibganj Upazila Parishad premises at early hours on Wednesday during offering wreaths of flowers.
On the other hand Chapainawabganj district unit of 19-party alliance called dawn to dusk hartal in Chapainawabganj district for Thursday in protest against the killing.
President of Chapainawabganj district unit of BNP and coordinator of the district 19-party alliance Professor Shahjahan Mia declared this in a press conference at Alauddin Hotel and Restaurant in the town on Wednesday night.
In the press conference he alleged that Awami League activists killed Sujan by exploding bombs. Other BNP and Jamaat leaders were also present in the press conference.
The hartal was observed loosely and peacefully. No untoward incident took place anywhere in the district during the observance of hartal.
All vehicles except long route buses were seen plying normally on roads. According to the Chapainawabganj, Amnura and Rohonpur railway stations sources, trains came to and left the stations as per schedule. Transactions were held in the banks although number of customers was thin. A few number of shopping malls in the town remained closed. All other markets and shopping centres outside the town were seen thickly crowded. No picketing in favour of hartal was seen.
