Food, clothing, shelter, education and medicine are the five basic needs of human beings. Allah says, “I do not accept Namaj of every person. I accept Namaj of him, who feeds the hungry, clothes the clotheless, shelters the guest, shows kindness to the poor, is humble to My great fullness, and controls his evil instinct.” By this saying, Allah has tagged duty towards mankind with duty towards Him. Moreover, According to the principles of the Islamic economy, the State is under obligation to help its citizens to attain the basic needs.
Now should we call it anti-secular?
German Philosopher Karl Marx said, food, clothing and shelter are the three basic needs of human beings. And it implies upon the State to ensure it. Is it anti-secular since Marx was a German?
Contrarily, Herbert Spencer advocated for survival of the fittest and elimination of the unfit. The advocates of capitalism stress on individual efforts and say that the State will make laws and act as referee only. Should we call it anti-secular?
We think that none should make any comment about a subject of which he or she has no knowledge.
