Livestock week and exhibition fair observed

With the theme “Domestic Breeds, Modern Technology: Progress in Livestock”, the National Livestock Week and Livestock Exhibition Fair have been inaugurated in Nasirnagar, Brahmanbaria. On this occasion, the Upazila administration, in collaboration with the Department of Livestock Services and the Veterinary Hospital, and with support from the Livestock and Dairy Development Project under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, organised a procession, discussion sessions, and a livestock exhibition.

On Wednesday, a procession moved through the main roads of the Upazila Sadar and ended at the Upazila Parishad grounds, where the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Shahina Nasreen, inaugurated the livestock exhibition by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. The event was attended by the Upazila Livestock Officer, Dr Shamimul Bashir; Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer, Fahim Arefin; Officer-in-Charge of the local police station, Mohammad Maksud Ahmad; Upazila Cooperative Officer, Mohammad Lutfor Rahman; Upazila Rural Development Officer, Badrul Islam; Upazila Youth Development Officer, Saifur Rahman; Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer, Jannat Sultana, along with government officials, journalists, prominent personalities, farmers, and livestock enthusiasts.
After the inauguration, the guests and members of the public visited the exhibition stalls. Later, a discussion session was held.

presided over by Upazila Livestock Officer Dr Shamimul Bashir and moderated by Upazila Livestock Extension Officer Dr Surajit Pal, where the chief guest was Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahina Nasreen.
