The Ministry-level Committee has recommended the withdrawal of 6,681 cases filed against political activists and innocent individuals, citing them as politically motivated and harassment-driven.
The Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry disclosed this information today, stating that the recommendations were made by a special committee formed to review politically motivated cases.
According to an official document titled “Updated Information on the Withdrawal of Political and Harassment Cases,” the committee, chaired by an advisor to the Law Ministry, has so far held nine meetings, during which it reviewed and recommended withdrawing these cases.
To ensure fairness in reviewing politically motivated cases, the government formed two committees:
-
A Ministry-level Committee
-
A District-level Committee
Ministry-level Committee:

-

These committees were established by the Ministry of Home Affairs to assess and recommend the withdrawal of cases that were allegedly filed as a means of political retaliation. The government aims to eliminate legal harassment against political figures and ordinary citizens who were unfairly targeted.
The recommendations will now be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for final approval and implementation.
