A voluntary blood donation program held at the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) in the Water Bhaban in Green Road, Dhaka on Monday.
The event organised on the occasion of the Victory Day. It was moderated by Md Enayet Ullah, Director General of the Bangladesh Water Development Board.
The program was arranged by the BWDB’s Welfare Directorate, managed by the Quantum Foundation, and supported by the Dhaka Water Development Division and the BWDB Blood Network.
Board’s Additional Director General (West Region and Administration), Md. Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury were present as a distinguished guest in the event among other officers and employees of the Board from various levels, as well as leaders of the Bangladesh Water Development Board Workers’ and Employees’ Union (B-1901).
A total of 26 male and female officers and employees of the Board donated blood voluntarily in the voluntary blood donation program.
In his speech at the inaugural ceremony, the Director General of the Board, Md. Enayet Ullah, said that the Great Victory Day is a significant day.
As part of observing the day with due respect, the voluntary blood donation program organized by the Bangladesh Water Development Board is a commendable initiative. He requested the organizers to continue such initiatives in the future as well.
