‘Affilicted people will get family card’

Minister of State for Social Welfare Barrister Farzana Sharmin Putul said that everyone will get a family card regardless of party affiliation.

“Who is doing which party, which religion is adopting, who is following, none of these things will prevent you from getting this card”.

She said that after only 15 days of formation of the government, we have been able to fulfill the promise of providing family cards. We will fulfill every promise we have made.

We have reached 37 thousand families in the country with family cards. In the next month, forty to fifty thousand more families and gradually the family card will reach every family.

State Minister for Social Welfare Barrister Farzana Sharmin Putul was speaking as the chief guest at the family card distribution inauguration ceremony at Gouripur School and College ground of Lalpur Upazila of Natore on Tuesday.

Natore Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen presided over the event. Social Welfare Directorate Rajshahi Division Director Syed MostakHasan, Police Superintendent Abdul Wahab, Lalpur Upazila Executive Officer Julhas Hossain Sourav, Beneficiary Kalpana Rani Bhowmik, Seema Begum and others spoke.

Family cards were distributed to 378 families in a ward of Ishwardi Union of Upazila. Each of the card holders received 2 thousand 500 taka in their respective accounts.
