On the occasion of Begum Rokeya Day 2025, as every year, Deputy Commissioner Monira Haque presented the Indomitable Women Medal to five distinguished women in Feni in recognition of their special contribution to women’s awakening in various fields.
The medals were presented to five people at a ceremony organized by the District Administration and Women’s Affairs Department, Feni, at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday.
Presided over by Nasrin Akhter, Deputy Director of the Women’s Affairs Department, Feni, Feni ADC (General) Md. Ismail Hossain, Feni Additional Superintendent of Police Sadar Nishat Tabassum and Feni Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sultana Nasrin Kanta were special guests.
Representatives of various women’s organizations and senior officials of the administration were present at the time. At the end, the guests presented crests, certificates and gifts to the five women who received the Indomitable Women Medal.
?The recipients of the medal this time are: economically successful woman Chumki Karmakar from Parashuram, successful woman in education and employment Mosammat Shirin Akhter from Chagalnayar, successful mother Begum Tajkera Chowdhury from Sonagazi, victorious woman in life Shirina Akhter from Sonagazi, and Shahnaz Akhter from Chagalnayar for her contribution to social development.
