“Dhaka Bank PLC celebrates and International Women Day- 2026 Business Desk To celebrate International Women’s Day 2026, Dhaka Bank PLC arranged a two-day program at its Head Office premises on Thursday and Sunday, comprising a Mid-Career Crisis Management Workshop, Women Entrepreneurship Fair 2026, a Panel Discussion, and the Unveiling of a New Product for women customers of the Bank. The celebration brought together the Bank’s women employees in recognition of their important role and valuable contributions to the organization. Dhaka Bank marked this day with a special program featuring a panel discussion that brought together distinguished women leaders from diverse sectors to share insights on women’s empowerment, their leadership and inclusive growth. The session was moderated by Osman Ershad Faiz, Managing Director & CEO of Dhaka Bank, who led a meaningful conversation on the evolving role of women in shaping Bangladesh’s socio-economic future. In his opening remarks, Faiz highlighted Dhaka Bank’s continued commitment to promote diversity, equality and opportunities for women both within the organization and across society. The distinguished guest panel included Zahida Fizza Kabir, CEO of Sajida Foundation; Barrister Farzana Ahmed, Chief Legal Officer, Dhaka Bank and Sabina Khatun, Former Captain of the Bangladesh Women’s National Football Team and Captain of the Bangladesh Women’s National Futsal Team. A K M Shahnawaj, Additional Managing Director, Deputy Managing Directors: A M M Moyen Uddin, Md. Mostaque Ahmed & Sheikh Abdul Bakir; Rezaur Rahman, Head of HRD of Dhaka Bank were present on that occasion. In addition, a healthcare program was arranged in collaboration with BRAC Healthcare, providing free doctor consultations and essential vital health screenings for women attendees. On this very occasion, Dhaka Bank introduced a new women-centric offering, “Empower – A Product of Dhaka Bank Aroni”, a premium savings account tailored for high-net-worth female clients, aimed at promoting and empowering women. With the motto & Rights, Justice Action. For All Women and Girls &, Dhaka Bank organized this special celebration to acknowledge the remarkable role of women in the country’s economic and infrastructural development. On this occasion, women employees of the bank were honored through different activities designed to inspire, motivate and encourage them. Dhaka Bank PLC also organized a session on Mid-Career Crisis Management was conducted by Alya Fardous Azad, Sr. Counselor at Evercare Hospital, Dhaka and a day-long exhibition titled “Dhaka Bank International Women’s Day Entrepreneurship Fair 2026” was arranged featuring stalls by women entrepreneurs who displayed a diverse range of products, including apparel, accessories and culinary items on Thursday.
