TECNO showcases AI ecosystem, modular Smartphone innovation at MWC 2026

At the annual technology event in Barcelona, TECNO presented its latest devices and innovations under the theme ‘Pioneering the Connection of Intelligence.

The showcase focused on integrating artificial intelligence features across multiple devices to improve productivity, creativity and everyday digital activities, said a press release.

The company’s presentation centered on its new smart phones, the TECNO CAMON 50 Series and techno POVA 8 Series.

According to the company, the CAMON 50 Series emphasizes AI-powered imaging and productivity, combining advanced camera hardware with AI tools and the Ella assistant to support photography, content creation and task management.

The performance-focused POVA 8 Series includes the TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G, which features an 8000mAh battery within a slim 7.42mm body.

The device also includes a 144Hz curved AMOLED display and a MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G chipset designed to support gaming, entertainment and communication with AI-enhanced features.

Beyond smartphones, TECNO highlighted its broader AIoT ecosystem with interconnected devices including the TECNO MEGABOOK Series, the upcoming TECNO MEGAPAD, and accessories such as the TECNO True 2, TECNO FreeHear 2 and TECNO Watch GT 1S. These devices are designed to work together through the company’s OneLeap ecosystem.

TECNO also announced collaboration with Italian design brand Tonino Lamborghini.

The partnership introduces co-branded products including the Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS and the TECNO POVA Metal Limited Edition, with plans to expand into additional devices such as laptops, tablets and wearables.

One of the major highlights of the showcase was TECNO’s Modular Magnetic Interconnection Technology, a concept that allows users to attach magnetic modules such as extra batteries, camera lenses or gaming accessories directly to smartphones.

The technology aims to enable hardware expansion and customisation based on users’ needs.

The company also demonstrated Edge-Side AIGC Preview Concept Technology developed with Arm Ltd… The technology includes a Style Transfer Preview system that reduces screen flickering and enables real-time AI image preview at 30 frames per second while operating offline on smart phones.

TECNO said the showcase reflects its vision of building a connected ecosystem driven by practical AI innovation. The CAMON 50 and POVA Curve 2 5G smart phones are already available at TECNO outlets across Bangladesh, while the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G is expected to launch soon.
