You will search, but why raise your hand? Sabnam Faria’s question

Recently, the interrogation of some students of Dhaka University has sparked discussion and criticism in various quarters on social media.

There are various reactions to the issue. Popular small screen and OTT actress Sabnam Faria has raised questions about the behaviour of the law enforcement agencies in her Facebook post.

The actress believes that considering the law and order situation in the country, it is the job of those in charge to search or interrogate suspects.

However, they should not be unnecessarily harassed physically or mentally while performing their duties.

The actress wrote, “Given the law and order situation in the country, you should definitely search and interrogate, this is your job, but why should you raise your hands?”

Sabnam Faria also commented that when power is abused, people lose trust and respect for law enforcement.

Faria also wrote, “Just because you abuse power, people lose trust and respect for you. We want to respect you; we want to believe that you are truly dedicated to our service.”

She finally wrote, “We want you to keep the law and order situation in the country under control. But you have to respect the citizens of the country along with providing security.”
