N’ganj Administration ensures 100pc fair and neutral election

The Narayanganj District Administration is fully committed to maintaining law and order to successfully conduct a fair, transparent, and 100% neutral national parliamentary election and referendum.
The administration is working to ensure all necessary facilities for voters at polling centers and to encourage voter participation. Law enforcement agencies will remain fully prepared to prevent any untoward incidents at polling stations, and no form of disorder will be tolerated.
Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Md. Raihan Kabir made these remarks while visiting polling centers in Baktabali and Alirtek unions of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila from morning to afternoon on Wednesday.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer reviewed the overall infrastructural readiness, security arrangements, and voting environment of the polling centers. He expressed satisfaction with the CCTV surveillance systems installed at the centers and the overall preparations. He also interacted with local voters and urged them to cast their votes fearlessly and spontaneously.
The Deputy Commissioner further stated that anyone attempting to create disorder at or around polling centers would be dealt with firmly. He called upon candidates of all political parties and their supporters to cooperate with the administration so that a fair, transparent, and neutral election can be delivered.
Additionally, during the visit, the District Commissioner inaugurated the long-demanded Baktabali Bazar Road development project. The road improvement work has been implemented through the Upazila Administration and the Office of the Upazila Engineer, Narayanganj Sadar.
During the inspection, senior officials from the Bangladesh Army, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Coast Guard, RAB, Ansar, and Police were present alongside the District Commissioner and Returning Officer.
Also present were Additional District Commissioner (General) Mr. Alamgir Hossain, Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Mr. S. M. Fayez Uddin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor, the Upazila Engineer, Baktabali Union Parishad Administrator Yasir Arafat, and other election and administrative officials.
After the inspection, local residents welcomed the initiative of the District Commissioner and Returning Officer and expressed optimism about ensuring a fair and orderly environment in the upcoming election.
