Farashganj go goal feast in Women’s football league

Shamsunnahar junior and Maria Manda slammed a brilliant hat-trick Farashganj Sporting Club earned massive victory in the Women’s football league crushing Nasrin Sports Academy by 11-0 goals held at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Tuesday.

Shamsunnahar Jr. scored hat-trick with three goals in the 20th, 35th and 56th minutes and Maria Manda scored hat-trick also with three goals in the 25th, 30th and 39th minutes.

Besides, Tohura Khatun and Monika Chakma supported with scoring two goals each in the 28th and 76th, and 32nd and 42nd minutes respectively while Shamsunnahar Sr. added another one goal in the 79th minute from a spot kick in the one-sided affairs.

In the day’s other match, Bangladesh Army Sports Club registered a comfortable 4-0 goal win over Siraj Smrity Sangsad SC.

The winners’ led the first half by 3-0 goals.

The early breakthrough came for Army when forward Sikha Akter scored the first goal in the 4th minute.

Defender Arpita Biswas doubled the lead scoring the second goal for Army in the 36th minute and Eite Akter further widened Army’s margin scoring the third goal in the 45+3rd minute of the match.

After the resumption, defender Joynob Bibi Rita completed the winnners’ tally scoring the fourth goal for Army in the 57th minute of the match.

With the day’s win, Army moved up third position at the point table with 18 points from seven matches while Siraj Smrity Sangsad remained with their previous collection of four points playing the six matches.
