MoU signed between DU and KU Sculpture Dept

A two-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Sunday between the Sculpture Department of Dhaka University (DU) and the Sculpture Discipline of Khulna University (KU) at DU’s Pro Vice-Chancellor’s (Administration) office to strengthen collaboration in education and research. DU Treasurer Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury signed on behalf of DU, while KU Sculpture Discipline Head Shantanu Mondal signed for KU.

The event was attended by DU Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Professor Dr. Mo. Azharul Islam Sheikh, Sculpture Department Chairman Nasimul Kabir, Professors Lala Rukh Selim and A A M Kauser Hasan, Associate Professor Mukul Kumar Barai, and Student Advisor Syed Tarek Rahman; from KU, Associate Professor Jahida Akter and Assistant Professor Md. Ramiz Afroze Shahi. Following the signing, DU Treasurer Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury expressed optimism, stating the MoU would enable practical steps for significant progress in education and research.

The agreement aims to enrich both institutions’ programs through curriculum and teaching method exchanges, expanding students’ experiences; it includes joint seminars, presentations, artist talks, course-based workshops, workshop exhibitions, subject-specific research projects, and research-based exhibitions.
