GTCL deposits Tk925.73 crore to govt exchequer in FY25

The 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL) was held in the Board Room of the Company’s Head Office, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka recently.

The meeting was chaired by Dr. Md. Hafizur Rahman Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of GTCL. Md. Rezanur Rahman, Chairman of Petrobangla, along with other shareholders and members of the Board of Directors of the Company, were present at the meeting.

At the AGM, the audited accounts and the management report of the company for the financial year 2024-2025 were approved.

During the said financial year, the company transported 2,159.52 crore cubic meters of gas and 13.46 crore liters of condensate, earning revenue of Tk. 2,216.13 crore from gas transmission and Tk. 51.86 crore from other sources, totaling Tk. 2,267.99 crore.

In the same financial year, the Company achieved a pre-tax net profit of Tk. 319.11 crore and a post-tax net profit of Tk. 246.99 crore, and deposited a total of Tk. 925.73 crore into the government exchequer.
