I was alert the whole time: Sushmita Sen

Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen suffered a sudden heart attack two years ago. Her heart was found to be 95 per cent blocked.

The actress had to undergo an urgent angioplasty to deal with the situation. In a recent interview, she recounted that terrifying moment.

She said that despite such a big incident, she didn’t want to lose consciousness even for a moment. In fact, she remained fully alert throughout the entire angioplasty procedure.

“That nature didn’t allow me to become unconscious. And that is why I came back alive. I was afraid that if I fell asleep after becoming unconscious, I would never wake up again.”
