TV Star: Safa interested in films, also feels fear

Entertainment Report :

After gaining popularity in TV dramas, most actors aim to transition into films.

In recent times, several small-screen actresses have made their debut in movies.

After proving their talent on television, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Sabila Nur, and Tasnia Farin are now showcasing their abilities on the big screen.

Earlier this month, Tanjin Tisha began shooting her first film. While many see this as a positive step, some have made sarcastic remarks about it.

According to Safa Kabir, such negative comments discourage many artists from taking that leap. She herself feels hesitant to act in films because of these remarks.

In a recent event, Safa Kabir expressed her desire to act in movies but admitted that negative comments have made her fearful. Safa said, ‘People have been asking me for a long time when I’ll be seen on the big screen.

I also want to see myself there. But now, I feel a bit scared. Recently, many talented actresses from TV have started doing films, but some people mock them, calling them ‘TV heroines.’ Such comments discourage me.

I haven’t appeared on the big screen yet, but these negative reactions are making me afraid.’

During last Eid-ul-Azha, Sabina Noor starred opposite Shakib Khan in the film Tandob. Many small-screen artists also acted in that movie.

At that time, Shakib Khan said that there should be no distinction between small- and big-screen artists.

Referring to that, Safa said, ‘A star like Shakib Khan has spoken against this division—so why are others still doing it? That’s my question.

Hearing about such discrimination makes me feel scared and upset. It shouldn’t be done. As artists, we all want to grow from one stage to another. For that, we need everyone’s encouragement and love. ’
