Two Chumkis share the screen after two decades

One is Farzana Chumki and another is Naznin Hasan Chumki. Both of them are popular actresses among
the viewers who came to acting from
theatre groups. Farzana Chumki
started her acting career through
the attachment with Dhaka Theatre. Naznin Chumki started her acting career through Desh Theatre.
Two decades ago, Farzana Chumki and Naznin Chumki first met in a shooting of Mir Sabbir and Naznin Chumki starrer a drama where Farzana Chumki presented at the shooting spot. From there their friendship began. Around 20 years ago, Farzana Chumki and Naznin Chumki first worked together in Gazi Rakayet directed a drama titled Poribar O Ekti Company. Later, they met in different shows including talk shows. But they did not get the scope to work together in any other drama later. After a break of 20 years, they again shared the screen for a television drama. After a long time break, they are working together in Banglavision’s ongoing mega serial titled Gulshan Avenue Season-2, directed by Nima Rahman.
Farzana Chumki was acting in the serial previous times rather than Naznin Chumki. Naznin Chumki has been attached with role of wife of Tariq Anam Khan in the serial from its 149th episode.
While talking about acting in the mega serial, Farzana Chumki said, “From the beginning I am getting positive response from the viewers for acting in Banglavision’s ongoing mega serial Gulshan Avenue Season-2. Respected Nima Apa is making the serial cordially. We, who are working in the serial, are trying to give our highest efforts during shooting. My intimate friend Naznin Hasan Chumki’s joining in this serial has increased my liking more because for many years we didn’t get the opportunity to work together in the screen. At last, it has done. Naznin Chumki has already taken part in the shooting of the serial. During break times of the shooting, we took part in gossiping and enjoying together. Shooting of the serial will again start on August 22. I hope we will pass nice time together again.”
Naznin Hasan Chumki shared her feelings by this way, “Besides acting, Chumki and my name’s contest were presented in Tarokakothon and Bondhu titled a television show. But we meet in different occasions regularly and we also get the scope to talk together. It is really a delightful matter that after many years we are working together in a common serial. It is also likeable matter that the full Gulshan Avenue team has taken it cordially.”
