We as a nation are a bit stingy in honoring them. Therefore, such initiatives are highly commendable.” The Vice Chancellor said, Our success is not the result of a single effort. The contribution of family, colleagues, friends and even people from different levels of society is involved in it. It is necessary to remember that contribution with gratitude.”
He said, “I always believe that the key to success is not talent, but hard work. Talent may help 10 to 15 percent, but 85 percent depends on hard work. This hard work is never easy. It is long, tiring, but that is what brings permanent success.”
Special speaker Bangladesh Open University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam said,. “Recognition is a unique motivation in academic life. Dean’s Award is a glorious example of that recognition. “To sustain the higher education system of Bangladesh, it is important to increase research funding, curriculum updating and industry-academia cooperation. Education should be work-oriented, productive and life-oriented – only then will the nation move forward,” said he.
Speaking as a special guest, Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha said, “Such initiatives play an important role in enhancing the quality of education and creating a research environment. The administration is helping students develop their talents despite the limitations of the university. Our goal is to build a research-oriented and innovative university.”
DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed said, “What our teachers and students have achieved despite limited resources and various limitations is truly commendable. Their contribution is pushing Dhaka University forward in the global rankings. The university is working to create more facilities for research and lead in modern technology, especially artificial intelligence research.”
