The election of Bangladesh Film Club Ltd is going to be held on February 16 at BFDC. In this election, film actress Riana Parvin Poli is going to contest as the Executive Committee (EC) member post from ‘Lipu-Nadim’ panel. Before the
election, the introduction of this panel was held at a hotel in the
capital last Tuesday night where actress Poli like others was present there to ask for blessings from everyone. Noted film actor Bapparaj, film actresses Sohana, Ratna, Shewly Shila and many
others were also present there.
Poli’s ballot number in the election is 14. She is very optimistic about the election that she will win.
She said about the reason for coming to the election and her future plans. While talking in this regard, Poli told media, “I am
a member of some clubs in and outside Dhaka. I always enjoy the culture of the club. I like it. And the film club is our film people’s club.
I enjoy this club more. Moushumi Apu, Poppy, Ratna and many
others were associated with this club. I believe this time I will win the election. Everyone pray for
me so that I can win.”
Poli informed that the Film Club has its own place in Purbachal of Dhaka. Everyone has plans to do something permanent with the club. Meanwhile Poli has been absent from the movies for a long time. She also did not give
any assurance about when
she will be seen in the movie.
However, the actress said that she is interested in returning to acting. That’s why it’s important to prepare herself for it, just as it’s important
to get a story suitable for the time. Poli said that she will return to acting if she gets a good
story and character.
