Tanzin Mithila sings in ‘Sangeeta’ after enlisting in BTV

Many new artistes of this generation are trying to win the hearts of the audience with their sweet voices.

The voices of many artistes are so melodious and sweet that those who have not heard them before cannot even imagine. Tanzin Mithila’s voice is just such a sweet voice.

Tanzin Mithila is the youngest child of Netrakona’s Abu Taher and Tahmina Yasmin couple.

Mithila got primary lessons in music from Anita Debi. After that, she learned music from Shotodol Sangskriti Academy’s Ratan Sarkar of Netrakona city. After that she took training in music from Bangla’s Sujon Topadar (from whom Nancy learned music) of Netrakona.

Mithila lost her maternal grandfather in childhood. Her grandfather affectionately called her ‘Mishu’.

Mithila’s first original song released was ‘Andho Andho’ which was written and composed by herself. Mithila’s first solo album ‘Mon Re’ was released by Laser Vision.

After that her single track titled ‘Chhuye Dile Haat’ was released from G-Series.

This song was also written and composed by herself.

Mithila said that she has several drama songs. But she was not listed in Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television (BTV). This year she has been listed as an artiste of modern song in BTV.

And fortunately, she got an opportunity to sing an original song titled ‘Maa’ on March 10. That day, after finishing the show from Cox’s Bazar, she went directly to BTV and completed the recording of the song.

Rushmi Chowdhury wrote lyrics of the song, while Farid Bongobashi has composed its music.

Tanzin Mithila told this correspondent, “I am satisfied with the position I have in music today.

I am thankful to my music mentor Anita Madam, Ratan Sir, Sujan Sir. I am trying to develop myself by learning music from them. And that was my labour and study.

My father, mother, brother and sister have always inspired me. And the listeners of my songs inspire me from the time of release of each song. I am grateful to the BTV family.

The new path of my life started by enrolling in BTV. I want to continue singing for life. I don’t know if I can become much bigger, but I want to do pure music.”

Born on December 5, Mithila is studying honour’s in Sociology at Lalmatia Govt Women’s College.
