Dhallywood’s promising actress Puja Cherry Roy starrer movie titled ‘Hridita’ was released last Friday in 21 theatres across the country.
The movie is based on acclaimed Bangladeshi author Anisul Hoque’s popular novel of the same title and received the government’s grant for the fiscal year 2019-2020.
Puja shared the screen alongside ABM Sumon for the first time through this movie.
The trailer of the movie was released last month and met with criticism from netizens. Viewers pointed out a scene in the trailer where ABM Sumon was scene drawing a nude painting of Puja’s character.
Within a day the movie’s makers released the controversial scenes and re-released another version of the trailer.
Puja also took to Facebook and clarified that the movie is based on noted author Anisul Hoque’s novel and it was nothing but an art form and the scene did not represent her.
Directed by Ispahani Arif Jahan, the movie also stars Manas Banerjee, Saberi Alam, Arjuman Ara and many others alongside Puja and Sumon.
Moreover, Anisul Haque has written the dialogues for the movie himself whereas the screenplay was written by the director.
The movie ‘Hridita’ features two playback songs rendered by popular singers Chandan Sinha and Shithi Saha.
