Prime Bank PLC and Flowco Bangladesh Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce dedicated green financing facilities for petrol pump owners across Bangladesh.

According to a press release, the agreement was signed recently at bank’s corporate office, marks a significant step toward promoting environmentally sustainable practices in the fuel retail sector.

Under this agreement, Prime Bank PLC will provide tailored green financing solutions to eligible petrol station owners. These financial products are designed to empower owners to implement advanced fuel tank cleaning, sludge removal and vapor emission reduction technologies without the burden of heavy upfront capital investment. This initiative directly supports Bangladesh’s national sustainability goals and environmental compliance requirements, fostering a transition toward cleaner energy practices in the downstream fuel retail sector.
