Greater Rangpur Region Bidi Owners Association and Bidi Workers Union have organized a human chain and besieged the customs office to demand five points including freeing the beedi industry from duty and increasing the wages of the workers. They held this program in front of Rangpur Divisional Customs, Excise and VAT Office recently. A memorandum containing five point demands was submitted to Commissioner of Customs, Excise and VAT Office.

FU-WANG Foods held its 26th AGM: FU-Wang Foods Limited holds its 26th Annual General Meeting through virtually on Wednesday. Md. Afzal Hossain, Chairman of the company presided over the AGM while shareholders adopted financial statement of the company for the year ended 30 June 2022. Chairman of the company said, in January 2022, after taking charge of Fu-Wang Foods Limited, the board has been trying to improve the business. The board also has a strategic business plan for growth and enhances the strength of the company. He hoped to continue this trend in the future and may able to pay dividend, said a press release.
