Marico (BD) holds its 23rd AGM: The 23rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Marico Bangladesh Limited (Marico) held through virtually recently. Saugata Gupta, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Marico, presided over the meeting. Rajat Diwaker, Managing Director of Marico Bangladesh Limited, along with the members of the Board, and Independent Directors Parveen Mahmud, Zakir Ahmad Khan, Sheela R Rahman, were present. During the AGM, Interim Dividend 750 percent which was declared and paid earlier has been considered as the Final Dividend for the year ended March 31, 2023. This was preceded by two interim cash dividend of 450 percent Interim Cash Dividend in Mid-Q1 and 300 percent Cash Dividend in Q1 of FY23.

FICL holds its 35th AGM: The 35th Annual General Meeting of Federal Insurance Company Limited (FICL) held through virtual recently. Enamul Hoq, Chairman of the company presided over the meeting, Vice Chairman Elias Siddiquee, Executive Committee Chairman Md. Abdul Khaleque, Claims Committee Chairman Sabirul Hoque, Audit Committee Chairman Safar Raj Hossain, Nomination and Remuneration Committee Chairman Muhammad Nazrul Islam, Directors Jainul Abedin Jamal, Khadizatul Anwar, MP, Mamtaz Begum, Morshedul Shafi, Tahreer Nawaz, Towfiqul Islam Chowdhury, Towhidul Alam, AKM Ziauddin Chowdhury, Begum Hasina Banu, Abrarul Hoque, Faraaz Karim Chowdhury, Jia Uddin, Independent Director Md. Rafiqul Islam & Md. Mahfuzur Rahman and Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer A M M Mohiuddin Chowdhry, CFO Masud Hossain and Senior Excutives of the company were present in the meeting. A good number of Shareholders participated in the discussion through digital Platform. Annual Accounts for 2022 of the company were approved and 10% Cash Dividend was also approved, said a press release.

Md. Ohidul Islam (Ove), Head of Marketing & Sales of DERA Resort & Spa and Md. Kamruzzaman, Head of Retail Banking of ONE Bank Limited, exchange document after signing an agreement in the capital recently. Under the deal, Debit, Credit & Prepaid Card holders of the bank with their dependents will get up to 55% discount on room published rate, 50% discount on banquet hall & 15% discount on Spa & all OBL credit cardholders will get 0% smart EMI facilities up to 12 months. High officials from both sides were present.
