Customs officials thwarted an attempt to evade Tk 5 crore 30 lakh in the invoice.Customs House Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin Rizvi confirmed the matter on Thursday (December 23rd).Commissioner Mohammad Salauddin Rizvi said the consignment was an attempt to evade government revenue to the tune of Tk 53 million by importing imported and high duty goods cigarettes. But due to the strict surveillance of the Chittagong Custom House administration and the sincerity of the officials, it has been possible to thwart this mischievous attempt.
