Sports Reporter :Bangladesh Under-17 Cricket team scored 264 for the loss of four wickets in the first innings against Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Under-17 Cricket team on the first day of the three-dayer cricket match at the BKSP Ground in Savar on Wednesday.Bangladesh Under-17 Cricket team made a sorrow start as they lost their opener Foysal Ahmed for just zero when Bangladesh’s score was 11 for the loss of one wicket.Then Ratul Khan and Sojibul Islam repaired the early damage contributing together 80 runs for the second wicket stand before Sojibul Islam was caught behind by wicketkeeper Souvanik Debnath off Souvik Paul when Bangladesh’s total was 91 for the loss of two wickets.After dismissal of Sojibul Islam, Ratul Khan and skipper Aminul Islam put on together 94 runs for the third wicket partnership before Ratul Khan was caught by Ankit Chakraborty off Rohit Mandal when Bangladesh’s score was 185 for the loss of three wickets.After departure of Ratul Khan, Aminul Islam and Shamim Patwary added together 62 runs for the fourth wicket stand before Shamim Patwari was caught Debojyoti Ghosh of Kaushik Maity when the team’s total was 247 for the loss of four wickets.Ratul Khan notched up a painstaking 84. His 180-ball innings was studded with 10 fours and a sixer while Aminul Islam remained undefeated with 77. His 175-ball knock was laced with 10 fours.Sojibul Islam hit a polished 41 from 101 balls featuring seven fours while Shamim Patwari scored a worthy 35 off 57 balls with two fours and two sixes.Mahmudul Hasan was on five before the bails were drawn for the first day.Debaran Das, Kaushik Maity, Rohit Mandal and Souvik Paul took one wicket each for 37, 45, 48 and 54 runs respectively.
