Govt sanctions Tk 10 crore to BOA

The government has sanctioned Taka 10 crore to Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) in order to properly conduct the training programme of the athletes participating in the upcoming SA Games to
be held in January next in India.
The information came out during the exchange of views meeting held on Tuesday at the National Sports Council (NSC).
State Minister for Youth and Sports Dr Sri Biren Sikder, MP, presided over the meeting while Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Arif Khan Joy,
Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) senior vice president Harun-Ur-Rashid, Deputy Secretary Generals Ashikur Rahman Miku, Badal Roy and Imtiaz Khan Babul and NSC secretary Ashok Kumar Biswash were also present.
BOA officials presented various scenarios of athletes of different disciplines participating of the 12th SA Games and also emphasized on to increase more financial sanction for the training programme.
The State Minister urged BOA to conduct the training programme properly and assured to extend his all out cooperation to solve all the problems soon the athletes are facing during their training programme.
