Fire incident in Ctg DB office

The office of the Detective Branch (DB) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) was caught fire last afternoon.
Fire service sources said the fire originated from electric short circuit of an air-conditioner at Bomb Disposal Unit of DB, at city’s Laldighi area around 4.15pm.
Two units of firefighters from Nandankanon Fire Station rushed to spot and brought the fire under control around 4.35pm, said Mohammad Yahia, Assistant Director of Chittagong Divisional Fire Service.
None was, however, injured in the fire while the extent of damage caused by the fire was yet to be ascertained, the DB officer added.
