Chhowa wins crown of Miss and Mrs Doctor Season 1

Dr Kaniz Fatema Chhowa has become the champion of the ‘Miss and Mrs Doctor Season 1’ competition, organised to highlight the professional skills, talent, confidence, leadership qualities and versatile talents of female doctors.

She was crowned with victory in the first edition of the competition, which was held recently amid a grand event at a hotel in the capital.

The first runner-up in the competition was medical student Nabila Tora and the second runner-up was Dr Rifa Tamanna.

The organisers claimed that this is the first time such a competition has been organized in Bangladesh.

The main aim of this event was to highlight the personality, confidence, creativity and leadership qualities of female doctors engaged in medical services, along with their professional success. Female doctors from different parts of the country participated in it.

The moment of victory was very emotional for Dr Chhowa. Even standing in front of everyone with the crown on her head, she could not believe her achievement. At that moment, her father’s face kept appearing before her eyes.

If her father had been by her side, perhaps his chest would have been filled with pride at her daughter’s success.

So, along with the joy of victory, Chhowa also felt the pain of not being able to have her father near her. After her success in the competition, she expressed her gratitude to show director Shakib Sonnet and show CEO and organiser Dr Hassan Mahmud.

Hailed from Khulna, Dr Kaniz Fatema Chhowa completed her MBBS from Rostov State Medical University, Russia, in 2025.
